2 women face charges after missing teen found
Two southeastern New Brunswick women were charged in Moncton Provincial Court on Monday in connection with the disappearance of a teenager.
The 13-year-old, who had not been seen since May 1, was discovered safe in a Lakeville home on Sunday.
On Monday morning, Tammy Chappell, 41, was charged with abduction and public mischief. As well, Jodi Lynn Beaulieu, 32, is facing a charge of abduction.
The judge released both women on Monday but ordered them to have no contact with the girl or her family members.
Chappell will be back in court on June 17 and Beaulieu will be back in court on June 13.
The RCMP is continuing its investigation into the abduction.
On Saturday, the Codiac Regional RCMP, Tri-County Ground Search and Rescue, police dogs and an RCMP helicopter were actively searching in the missing teen's neighbourhood leading to Champlain Mall in Dieppe.
