Two men are facing charges in connection with a home invasion in Upper Rexton last Friday that involved robbery, stabbing and assaults.

The men broke into the home, stole prescription drugs and cash and stabbed a 36-year-old man, Sgt. Jeff Johnston stated in a news release.

The victim remains in hospital in stable condition, he said.

A 43-year-old woman and a 13-year-old girl were also assaulted, treated in hospital and released, said Johnston.

Two suspects were arrested on March 18.

A 25-year-old Elsipogtog man is facing charges of robbery with a weapon, aggravated assault, and breach of recognizance, Johnston said. Additional charges are possible, he said.

The other man remains in custody with charges pending.
