A crash near the Montreal Casino left two people dead Tuesday evening . 

Police said shortly before 8 p.m., the driver lost control of the wheel while exiting the Concorde Bridge heading towards the casino, on Pierre Dupuy Avenue.

Images from the scene showed the vehicle standing almost upright on the casino's welcoming sign.

Montreal police Const. Anie Lemieux said both people were declared dead on the scene.

Officers are investigating to figure out what exactly happened.

Police officers redirected traffic around the crash site Tuesday night.

The casino is still accessible.
