Teen walked home after violent stabbing and bike theft
Police are trying to establish whether victim and suspect knew each other
A teenage boy is in hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed overnight in a quiet suburban area of St-Hubert, on Montreal’s South Shore.
The youth, whose bike was stolen in the altercation with an unknown assailant, staggered one kilometre to his home just after midnight on Monday.
The path he walked is marked by a trail of blood.
Pierre Aubé lives right at the intersection of Redmond Street and Maricourt Boulevard where the incident took place. He was out Monday morning washing the blood from his property.
Aubé told CBC News that he awoke around 2 a.m. to find police tape across the front of his driveway and front lawn.
"The investigation was done by the morning but there was blood all over the place, on my driveway and on the sidewalk," he said.
Police are still looking for the suspect.
They are trying to establish whether the victim and suspect knew each other.
Investigators have questioned the victim and plan to re-interview him Monday afternoon after the all-clear from the boy’s doctors.
