Montreal police are looking into what appears to be a suspicious fire.

Last night a four-alarm fire broke out in a mixed residential and commercial building on Notre-Dame Street E. in Pointe-aux-Trembles.

The blaze started in the building’s garage before spreading to the convenience store and apartments on the first and second floors, as well as a neighbouring home.

No one was injured, though four people are now homeless.

A firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation.
