Update March 12:

Amidst a sea of about one hundred faces were a handful of volunteers who quietly helped make sure that the evenings' fundraiser went off without a hitch.

On Tuesday night, Montreal charity Artistri Sud held its' big annual fundraiser in the Old Port of Montreal and the CBC Montreal Do Crew was there to help set the stage and keep things running smoothly.

A great number of people came out to support the work that a local woman, Jennifer Lonergan, does to help women in developing countries.

The event was very well-organized and the Do Crew was happy to be of service by helping out with coat check, greeting guests and providing peace of mind to event organizers. We even had one volunteer whose sole task was to manage social media by tweeting and posting to Facebook on the organization's behalf.

Thanks so much to all the wonderful volunteers who came out to help this time around. All but one of you were first-timers to the Do Crew and I hope to meet you all again.

International Women's Day is just around the corner and so is Artistri Suds'  5th annual Tales of Triumph celebration.

Artistri Sud, a Montreal-based charity, offers women artisans in developing countries access to training programs and practical advice on how to make a living from their crafts.

Tales of Triumph features three of the women who have benefited from the help of Artistri Sud. They will be there to share their stories. The evening will also feature a silent auction.

It is the organization's most important fundraiser of the year and all the proceeds return to the work of Artistri Sud.
The CBC Montreal Do Crew will be there to help make the evening is a success.
