A man was killed and two others were seriously injured Thursday morning in a head-on collision in Lachute, northwest of Montreal.
Quebec provincial police said a vehicle, which was heading west on Highway 50, collided head-on with another vehicle.
An investigation has been launched, but police said they believe it is possible the second vehicle was heading in the wrong direction.
The driver of the second vehicle, a man in his 20s was killed. The two people riding in the other car were seriously injured.
Transport Quebec said Highway 50 westbound will be closed for an undetermined amount of time on Thursday.
