Firefighters are investigating a fire that led to the death of a 74-year-old woman in Lac-Mégantic. (Google)
An elderly woman is dead following a house fire in Lac-Mégantic, about 350 kilometres east of Montreal.
Authorities said the fire started around 9:35 p.m. on the ground floor of the Millette Street home.
Firefighters managed to contain the fire to the first floor of the house. They discovered the 74-year-old woman's body inside.
An investigation was launched to determine the cause of the fire.Share Tools
