Boy dies after being shot in head at family home

Urgences-Santé has confirmed a 16-year-old boy is dead after being shot in the head.
The boy was injured around 5:30 p.m. Monday at a home on Hamilton Place near Thorncrest Avenue in Dorval.
Ambulance officials said the victim's 12-year-old brother called 911 to report the incident.
Montreal police continue to investigate the incident and are not revealing many details about the case.
Const. Daniel Lacoursière said it appears the injuries may have been caused by a firearm. However, Urgences-Santé officials said the two brothers were seemingly playing with a gun that was found in the home.
Lacoursière said investigators will meet with the 12-year-old.
The boys' mother came home after emergency personnel arrived on the scene. She was taken to hospital to be treated for shock.
