Two teens killed in car crash near Trois-Rivières

Two people are dead following a two-vehicle collision last night near Trois-Rivières, Que.
The Sûreté du Québec confirmed that at about 6 p.m. yesterday, a driver passed another car illegally in Bécancour, Que., close to Highway 30.
Police said the driver sped up to return to the right lane, but lost control of the vehicle and hit a car heading in the opposite direction.
The 18-year-old driver and his 19-year-old female passenger were rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. They died later last night.
The driver of the other vehicle was injured, but police say his life is not in danger.
