Montreal police were on the scene of a fatal shooting in Montreal's Ahuntsic borough. This was the fourth homicide in Montreal in the span of 24 hours. (CBC)
Montreal police say a man in his 40s is dead following a shooting in Montreal's Ahuntsic neighbourhood.
Authorities say the shooting took place near the intersection of St-Laurent Boulevard and Fleury Street.
The incident took place around 2:25 p.m. ET Thursday afternoon.
Police say a "conflict went south" between the victim and the suspect.
The suspect has not been located and his motives remain unknown.
