A tornado with winds up to 120 km/h touched down in Drummondville. (Radio-Canada)
A tornado touched down in Drummondville on Saturday around 5:30 p.m., Environment Canada confirms.
Several parts of the province were hit by rain and strong winds.
René Héroux, meteorologist for Environment Canada, said the damages sustained to buildings prove that a tornado blew through the city.
The tornado is estimated to be at a force F0 with winds of about 120 kilometres per hour.
He said most of the damage was limited to the roof being lifted off a four-storey building.
This is the fifth tornado of the season in the province.
