Thunderstorms and high winds caused many power outages in the south of Quebec. Hydro-Québec said the damages were mostly caused by lightning and fallen branches.
More than 90,000 people were left in the dark at the storm's peak.
According to Hydro-Québec, service has been re-established for more than 79,000 clients.
As of 7 a.m. Sunday, the company reports that nearly 11,000 remain without power.
Hydro-Québec says Central Quebec, the Estrie and the Montérégie regions will progressively gain power again.
