Two people were injured when a small plane crashed early Monday morning near the Mascouche airport in the Lanaudière region of Quebec.
The Cessna crashed close to Hwy. 640 at around 6:30 a.m., forcing provincial police to block the exit to the highway at Louis-Hébert street during the morning rush hour.
A police officer on the scene said it appeared the plane nosedived, grazing the tops of several trees in the wooded area.
The pilot and a passenger were injured.
The cause of the accident is not yet known.
More details to come.
