Montreal police are investigating after fire broke out at a nightclub on Saint-Laurent Boulevard early Friday morning.
The fire started on an upstairs patio at the Muzique Audio Bar at about 2:30 a.m.
It’s unclear if anyone was on the terrasse at the time, said Montreal Fire Operations Chief Richard Laporte.
“The SPVM told us they have information that some guys were seen around the building, so for us it's accidental, but it may be a suspicious fire,” said Operations Chief Richard Laporte.
The file has been transferred to the police, he said.
Damage to the building was minimal and no one was injured.
