Pedestrian hit on Papineau Ave. dies

A 63-year-old woman has died after she was hit by a car while crossing the street in Ahuntsic Thursday morning.
Montreal police said the woman was at the intersection of Papineau Avenue and Fleury Street at around 11 a.m.
She was crossing on a green light when she was struck by a car that was turning left, police said.
The woman was taken to hospital in critical condition, but later died.
The driver of the car, a 31-year-old woman, was treated for shock.
Police said no charges will be laid.
