Man in hospital after worksite accident

A construction worker is in critical condition after scaffolding collapsed on top of him at a worksite in Brossard Thursday afternoon.
The man, in his 30s, was taken to hospital with head injuries.
A spokesperson for the south shore ambulance service says the man was working under scaffolding near the Quartier Dix30 shopping centre at the time of the accident.
Bruce Dyopte says ambulance technicians had to call the fire department to help them remove debris so they could help the worker.
Officials with the workplace health and safety board are investigating.
