Suspect arrested in Brossard homicide

Longueuil police have arrested a suspect after a 78-year-old woman was found dead in her home in Brossard, Que. (Radio-Canada)

Police have arrested a woman in her fifties in connection with the death of a 78-year-old woman in Brossard, Que.
The woman's body was found in the basement of her home on the weekend after a friend called police to say she had not heard from the woman.
Longueuil police, who are conducting the investigation, said little about the suspect, although they did confirm that she knew the victim and was arrested Monday morning in Montreal.
Police said they were interviewing the suspect late Monday morning.
The victim's injuries have not been disclosed, but an autopsy will be performed.
