(Montreal Police Service) Montreal police have made an arrest in a fatal stabbing at a Saint-Michel bus shelter last month.

Police arrested Fernando Ramos Eveillard, 22, at his home on Tuesday night.

Eveillard did not resist arrest, said police.

Just before midnight on Oct. 25, police allege Eveillard and an 22-year-old man got into argument over drugs as they stood next to a bus shelter on Saint-Michel Boulevard near Crémazie Boulevard.

Police allege Eveillard pulled out a knife and stabbed the other man in the upper body before fleeing the scene.

A witness saw the attack and called 911. The man died in hospital.

Police said the two men knew each other.

Eveillard was expected to be arraigned on second-degree murder charges at the Montreal courthouse on Wednesday.
