A search is continuing for a second day along the Gulf of St. Lawrence in Quebec for a missing plane carrying two men.
Search and rescue officials are scouring the north shore for a Cessna 180K plane, possibly a float plane, reported missing on Friday.
The pilot is reported to be from Quebec City and the passenger from Grandes-Bergeronnes along the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
The plane left Thursday from Baie-Comeau heading for Grandes-Bergeronnes, but never arrived. Early Friday morning, family members of the two men reported that the plane was missing and the search began later in the day.
Visibility was good Saturday as personnel aboard Coast Guard vessels and two military Hercules aircraft searched the St. Lawrence River. Police, meanwhile, were conducting a ground search.
Officials say the plane did not register a flight plan and did not issue a distress signal.
