(Paul Chiasson/Canadian Press)Montreal Canadiens great Guy Lafleur is appealing the guilty verdict against him for giving contradictory testimony during his son's bail hearing.
The Hockey Hall of Famer wasn't in court today as his two lawyers argued the modified warrant used to arrest Lafleur was out of line.
Lafleur was convicted in May 2009 of giving contradictory testimony at a bail hearing for his son Mark in September 2007.
The former superstar originally failed to mention a number of hotel visits his son made but subsequently brought them up after the Crown caught wind of the stays.
Lawyers for Lafleur argued that Judge Claude Parent committed an error by not taking into consideration their client thought the court-ordered curfew for Mark Lafleur applied to the hours and not the location.
The three justices of the Quebec Court of Appeal will deliberate before rendering a decision.
