The family of a missing 23-year-old Montreal mother expressed increasing concern about her well-being on Wednesday, as police called off a ground search.

A search of the area around the Taz skateboarding park and the old Miron quarry in the city's St-Michel district turned up nothing, said police.
The investigation into Toussaint's disappearance has been taken over by the Montreal police department's major crimes unit.
Police said they will wait for additional information before continuing search efforts.
Toussaint's family said she hasn't been heard from since she dropped off a friend at the intersection of 27th Avenue and Bélanger Street, around 1 a.m. on Monday.
Police said Toussaint told the friend she was going to meet her ex-boyfriend at the skateboarding park. But, the man has told police that she never showed up.
Toussaint's family said it is out of character for her to leave without contacting them.
Her car was found parked in front of the apartment she shares with her mother, sister and son.
Police said they spoke to Toussaint's ex-boyfriend and her current companion on Tuesday, but wouldn't release more information about what they said.
On Wednesday, Toussaint's mother, Marie-Ange Auguste, was nearly hysterical as she pleaded for her daughter's return.
She said her daughter is registered to begin studies to become a nurses' aide in June.

Auguste said her daughter's ex-boyfriend had recently tried to convince Toussaint to move back in with him, but she said she told her daughter it was a bad idea.
She said she told her: "Now you will go and learn something … go and do something with your life."
Anyone who has information is asked to contact police through the Info-Crime tip line at (514) 393-1133.
Toussaint, who is five-foot-six and weighs about 135 pounds, was last seen wearing a black short-sleeved shirt, black vest, jeans and black shoes.
