Montreal police believe there may be more victims connected to a teenage prostitution ring in the west end of the city, and are calling on anyone with information to come forward.
A 49-year-old man from Montreal's Notre-Dame-de-Grâce neighbourhood appeared in court Thursday afternoon after turning himself in to police.
He faces 19 charges in connection to forcing two 17-year-old girls from a small New Brunswick town to work in a makeshift brothel in Montreal's Lachine neighbourhood.
He had been out on bail after pleading not guilty to dangerous driving in November.
Two men have already been charged in the case.
Police allege the three men held the girls against their will and lived off the proceeds from a brothel.
The girls eventually were able to contact family members, who called the RCMP detachment in Oromocto, N.B., police said.
The RCMP called Montreal police, who raided the brothel three weeks ago.
One man was arrested in the raid, and another man turned himself in after police released his photo.
Austin Wilson, 23, and Myles Tynes, 36, were charged earlier. Philip Lafferty, 49, will stay in custody until a hearing next week.
