Mud coming from the Glen Yards area blocked two lanes of the street between Saint-Rémi and Décarie Boulevard, said officials with Transport Quebec.
Three cars became stuck and had to be pulled out.
Heavy rain fell in Montreal throughout much of the day on Monday.
Preparatory development work is underway on the Glen Yards for the construction of the new McGill University Health Centre.
