Mourners packed into a chapel at Canadian Forces Base Valcartier in Quebec on Tuesday for the funeral service honouring Cpl. Martin Dubé.

Others waited outside to pay tribute to Dubé, who was killed June 14 when one of two roadside bombs, hidden in a culvert he was trying to defuse, exploded.

Dubé, a combat engineer, was the 120th Canadian soldier to die on the Afghan mission.

He was a member of the 5 Combat Engineer Regiment based at CFB Valcartier.

Dubé was serving as a member of the joint task force headquarters when he was killed.
