Montreal police are investigating a pair of shootings that left two men dead just before Christmas.
The first shooting happened Tuesday night on Richmond Road in the neighbourhood of Little Burgundy, southwest of the downtown.
Just before 7 p.m., a man who had been shot was found lying on the ground. He died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
Police said he appeared to be in his late teens.
"He's still not identified, but investigators do have an idea about who it might be," said Const. Anie Lemieux, a spokesperson for Montreal police.
"So far as for the motive, we have no clue. No suspects have been arrested and investigators will have to meet with people in the neighbourhood."

Police said a 46-year-old man was shot in a small, unmarked cafe on Charland Avenue shortly after 10:15 p.m. A witness described the suspect to police.
"The suspect is a white male and fled on foot," said Lemieux.
The victim died before arriving at the hospital.
The two deaths are the 28th and 29th murders of the year in Montreal. Police are treating the cases as unrelated.
