Nathalie Fournier was last seen Oct. 14, 2004. (Sûreté du Québec)U.S. authorities have found human remains believed to be those of Nathalie Fournier, a Quebec woman who has been missing for four years.
Police found the remains in Malone, N.Y., Friday.
Fournier, 28, was last seen Oct. 14, 2004, in a restaurant in St-Mathieu near Highway 15 in the company of an English-speaking truck driver.
A driver who was in custody for an unrelated child pornography charge led authorities to the remains in Malone, said New York Police Maj. Richard Smith.
"He was not on the New York state police radar to that particular disappearance, but an investigator familiar with that case four years ago mentioned that to the investigators working on that crime [and] felt it might be a good time to question him on that," Smith said at a news conference Friday afternoon.
Adam J. Morris, 30, is being held at the Franklin County jail without bail.

Quebec provincial police sent five officers to New York to assist in search efforts in Malone, a town southeast of Cornwall, Ont.
