A vicious storm that hit Quebec Tuesday evening left two men dead and cut off electricity to hundreds of thousands.
Winds gusting up to 100 kilometres an hour knocked down trees and hydro poles.
A 28-year-old man was killed when a tree fell on his car while he was driving near Mount Royal, Montreal police said.
The storm toppled trees in Montreal, knocking down power lines.

A second man died after being struck by lightning in Saint-Alexis-des-Mont in the Mauricie region.
Roughly 221,000 people were still without electricity by early afternoon Wednesday. In the immediate wake of the storm, about 450,000 people were left without power.
A spokesperson for Hydro-Quebec said crews are repairing the damages.
Officials expect power to be back on in Montreal by the end of the day — but it might take longer for other parts of the province.
