The STM has decided to move the bus stops for the 470 express bus back to the Fairview Terminus, after complaints from commuters.

The stops had been moved to Brunswick Boulevard to accommodate the new articulated buses for the route.

The transit authority had said the buses were too long for the docks in the terminus.

Passengers complained the walk from the Fairview Terminus onto the high-traffic boulevard was dangerous.

STM officials say they’ve been monitoring the situation all week.

“The amount of movement between the transfer, between one line and the other, was quite higher than we expected. Pedestrians [don’t] always react the way you think. They don’t always use the path you think they will use,” said STM spokesman Alain Lavallée.

The bus stops will be moved back to the Fairview Terminus by Monday.
