Nikolas Stefanatos will stand trial in April for allegedly burning his ex-girlfriend with acid last summer.

Preliminary testimony from burn victim Tanya St-Arnauld and other witnesses was heard over the past two days at the Longueuil courthouse.

St-Arnauld was attacked on Aug. 26, 2012 in her apartment. She suffered third-degree burns to her chest and arms.

St-Arnauld appeared in court yesterday and today without makeup or a wig to show the extent of her physical scarring.

Stefanatos is accused of several offences related to the incident, including aggravated assault.

He will remain in custody until his trial.
