A 51-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a series of sexual assaults that reportedly took place on Wednesday, the Sûreté du Québec said.

One of the incidents took place in Terrebonne, where a woman said a man in a white SUV exposed himself to her. Later that day, a woman said she was sexually assaulted in the parking lot at the Promenades Saint-Bruno in Montreal's South Shore.

The suspect was arrested near his home in Saint-Lin-Laurentides, about 60 kilometres north of Montreal.

Police say two other victims also came forward, one from Mascouche and one from St-Hubert. Those cities' police services, along with Longueuil police, collaborated in the investigation.

It's unclear how many charges the suspect will face. He is expected to appear in court on Saturday.
