A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Saint-Laurent over the weekend.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Montreal on the weekend.

The shooting happened on Saturday, in a parking lot in in the borough of Saint-Laurent near Crevier Street.

The victim, a 20-year-old man, survived. 

Montreal police Const. Simon Delorme said officers arrested a principal suspect on Sunday following their investigation.

Delorme said the 27-year-old is expected to appear in court this afternoon.

He said the suspect could face charges including attempted murder, aggravated assault, conspiracy and possession of a dangerous weapon.
