Raynald Létourneau charged with first-degree murder in death of ex-girlfriend
Victim Charlie Cecilia Garcia Larez moved to Canada to earn money to send home to family in Venezuela
More than a month after an arrest warrant was issued in the death of his pregnant ex-girlfriend, Raynald Létourneau has been charged with first-degree murder.
He appeared in a Montreal courtroom Tuesday afternoon.
Charlie Cecilia Garcia Larez, 36, was found dead in bed in an apartment on Goyer Street near Darlington Avenue in Côte-des-Neiges in May.

An arrest warrant was issued for Raynald Létourneau in July and he was added to the list of Quebec's most wanted.
Montreal police said Létourneau was arrested Monday in a building in Pointe-aux-Trembles thanks to calls received by the Info-Crime police tip line.
He was transported to an operational centre, where he was met by investigators.
Létourneau, 46, hadn't been seen since.
Larez moved to Canada less than a year ago to earn money to send back home to her family in Venezuela.
He is scheduled to appear in court again on Sept. 10.
