A 32-year-old Toronto man is the 15th individual to be arrested as part of Operation Malaise
A 32-year-old Toronto man sought in connection with an alleged pedophile ring has turned himself in to police.
Jessy Giroux was wanted in connection with a Sûreté du Québec-led investigation that spanned Toronto and several cities in Quebec called Operation Malaise, in a sweep that started at the end of January.
He is the 15th man to be arrested as part of the investigation.
Giroux is scheduled to appear today at the Montreal courthouse. He is accused of possession, distribution and production of child pornography.
According to investigators, the individuals allegedly exchanged information in online discussion forums about their sexual experiences with children.
They are also alleged to have discussed tactics and locations where sexual contact with children could take place.
