Today Pauline Marois announced a shuffle in the Parti Québécois government's cabinet.

The changes follow the resignation of Environment Minister Daniel Breton, who stepped down from the cabinet last week after several embarrassing revelations from his past came to light.

Yves-François Blanchet has been named as the new environment minister.

Marjolain Dufour, former chair of the government caucus, will take on Blanchet's former role as party whip.

Sylvain Pagé, assistant to the minister of education, recreation and sports, will be the new caucus chair.

Véronique Hivon, who left her post in the cabinet several weeks ago for health reasons, is returning to her position as junior minister of social and youth protection services.
