Police are investigating after three people were injured in an altercation overnight in Montreal's Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough.

The incident happened at about 3:15 a.m. near the intersection of Elmhurst Avenue and St-Jacques Street.

Police said when they arrived on the scene, the victims had already left.

Officers tracked down three men in their 20s a short while later.

Police said none of the victims pressed charges and their injuries were not life-threatening.

According to police, the men involved are not co-operating with the investigation and it’s difficult to know what happened.

Officers said the victims are known to police.
