Every week, CBC Montreal’s Homerun arts reporter Pierre Landry brings you the top five things to see and do in Montreal this weekend.

Here are his picks for April 5 to 7.

1. Forget what you remember from the old Dow Planetarium. Montreal now has a brand new, state-of-the-art, beautifully designed planetarium located next to the Olympic stadium. The grand opening is on Saturday. Prepare to be starstruck!

2.The 4th edition of the Montreal International Latin American Film Festival kicks off this weekend at Cinéma du Parc. See the best films form Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay, until April 25.
