A boil water advisory is still in effect Saturday for close to 150,000 people on Montreal's South Shore.

The advisory was issued for the areas of Brossard, St-Lambert, Greenfield Park and Le Moyne on Christmas Day.

Residents in those areas are being asked to boil their water for a minute before consumption.

Officials say the water is fine for washing dishes or taking a shower.
