Missing St-Hyacinthe woman found dead

The Sûreté du Québec say officers searching for Diane Ferron found her body in a ditch about 11:45 a.m. Saturday.

The body of a missing woman was found in St-Hyacinthe Saturday morning.

Diane Ferron, 65, was last seen Wednesday at her home on Champêtre Street in St-Hyacinthe's Saint-Thomas-D'Aquin district.

The Sûreté du Québec say officers searching for Ferron found her body in a ditch about 11:45 a.m.

She was found about one kilometre from her home.

Sgt. Claude Denis says there were no signs of violence on the body and that it was not clear how long it had been there.

The SQ are investigating.
