Montreal police are looking for two suspects who broke into the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve home around 2:40 a.m. Monday.

Const. Laurent Dyke said investigators will be on the scene this morning to learn more about the sequence of events and to try to determine a motive for the home invasion.

“A lot of those questions cannot be answered until the investigators have a chance to speak to the victim. However, due to the fact that the victim is in serious condition, everyone is going to have to wait until the victim is in a more stable state,” Dyke said.
