Man charged with impaired driving in deadly DDO hit
Senior woman died in hospital after hit by car Tuesday night in in Dollard-des-Ormeaux
A Quebec man has been charged with two counts of impaired driving, in connection to a fatal accident in Dollard-des-Ormeaux Tuesday night.
Yvan Grandmaison, 40, has been charged with one count of impaired driving causing death, and one count of impaired driving causing bodily harm.
A 73-year-old woman was killed, and her 72-year-old husband is in critical condition but stable condition, after they were hit by a car while out for an evening stroll in their West Island neighbourhood.
Police say they were only steps from their front door on Ceres Street in DDO when they were hit by a car.
Grandmaison was arrested near the scene. He is due back in court on Thursday.
