Man, 19, repeatedly stabbed on Plateau overnight

A 19-year-old man was repeatedly stabbed overnight on the Plateau-Mont-Royal, near the intersection of St-Denis and Rachel streets.

Victim's life not in danger, emergency responders say

Police responded to the scene of a stabbing around 12:40 a.m. Sunday morning. The victim, a 19-year-old man, was transported to hospital with multiple stab wounds to his upper body. (Radio-Canada)

A 19-year-old man was repeatedly stabbed overnight on the Plateau-Mont-Royal, near the intersection of St-Denis and Rachel streets.

The attack happened around 12:40 a.m. Sunday, with the victim suffering serious injuries to his upper body.

But emergency responders say his life is not in danger.

The cause of the attack is not known, and the suspect fled the scene. The police will speak to the victim once his condition improves for a description of the suspect.
