Longueuil police are looking for at least two suspects in an early morning home invasion.
Const. Patrick Barrière of the Longueuil police said they received a 911 call at around 12:40 a.m. Wednesday.
The suspects confined the home's occupants, a couple in their 80s, to the bathroom while they robbed the house.
The suspects took off with what Barrière called "a substantial amount" of jewelry, among other items.
"We don’t know the exact amount at this point," he said.
The canine unit was called to the scene and investigators are still looking for evidence.
The description of the suspects is not currently being circulated, but "investigators are looking at a couple of different hypotheses on why this house was targeted," Barrière said.
The couple in their 80s were not hurt.
