Laval police are investigating after a break-in was reported at the Hudson's Bay in Carrefour Laval early Saturday morning.

Police received a call around 3:30 a.m. about a break-in and robbery at the store.

The suspects — police say there were at least two people involved — fled in a cube truck.

Police say a number of high-value items were stolen, but that the suspects weren't able to make off with everything as they fled the scene.

It appears they forgot to close the back of the truck and more than a dozen boxes full of stolen merchandise were found strewn across the parking lot.

The boxes were filled with expensive jewelry, watches and perfumes.

Investigators were still on the scene late Saturday morning.
