A man in his 30s surrendered to Montreal police after he barricaded himself in a Lachine residence early Monday morning.
Police were called to a residence on Windsor Avenue around 2:20 a.m. after they say the man threatened a woman with a sharp object.
Police set up a perimeter around the home after the man refused to leave it.
He eventually emerged from the residence around 5 a.m. and surrendered to police.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police say the man was arrested but charges have yet to be laid.
Investigators remain on scene.
