A police liaison officer working at the school overheard students talking about the videos.

Lévis police Sgt. Alain Gelly said police were able to confirm the woman on the website was indeed the employee at the school.

She does not appear to have broken any laws, Gelly said. However, police officers felt ethically obligated to let the school know what they found, he said.

"If somebody in my police department would be involved in that activity, you understand that the trust that we have from people would be sort of jeopardized," Gelly said.

Denis Bourbeau, the school board's director of human resources, said officials met with the woman on Tuesday before deciding to go ahead with the suspension.

"We are a public organization that provides public education," Bourbeau said. "These are not values that we want to teach children."

The secretary had worked at the school for two years.

Bourbeau said the board will decide in the next two weeks whether she will lose or keep her job.
