Once they unlocked the doors of the car, police discovered the victim — a man in his fifties — and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Const. Danny Richer said the man is known to police and the homicide could be connected to the Mafia.

The major crimes unit is on the scene and investigators are meeting with neighbours and witnesses.
