A hazing incident at a Montreal South Shore high school has prompted officials to contact police and suspend the hockey team's coaches, along with some players.
The incident, which took place in November 2011, involved hockey players at the Collège Français secondaire de Longueuil.
Officials at the private school say they were only informed about the situation in January..
The incident involved 12- and 13-year-old players on the hockey team.
School officials will not reveal details about the incident, saying only it was a initiation rite of a sexual nature.
The school contacted local police, but no formal complaints have been filed.
The school said a psychologist has also been made available to students.
