Golf course in Bécancour to allow dogs on course
Club de Golf de Gentilly says dogs are welcome, but only on Wednesdays and Sundays
As of this summer, golfers no longer have to choose between spending the day with doggies or birdies. A golf course in Bécancour, Que., will allow clients to bring their dogs to the course.
Club de Golf de Gentilly, across the river from Trois-Rivières, invites golfers to bring their dogs along, on a leash, on Wednesdays and Sundays.
There will be rules to follow and it will all be supervised by an animal behaviour specialist, who will also offer workshops on canine decorum.
The golf club is adding two dogs parks beside the clubhouse where pets can can play while their owners hit the bar.
This year's season will start on May 1, the club announced.
