Four people, including two minors, have been arrested after a shooting at a downtown hotel overnight.

Police say there was an altercation at about 12:40 a.m. between a man, 18, and a woman, 27, at Hôtel Élégant on St-Hubert Street, near the corner of Maisonneuve Boulevard.

They say it ended with the woman shooting the man in the stomach. The motive is still not clear, police say.

The victim was taken to hospital and is expected to survive.

Police arrested the woman, along with another 18-year-old man and two minors — both 17 years old.

The four are expected to appear in court tomorrow.
